STEP Webinar - Leveraging and Sustaining STEP Grants through Partnerships with Workforce Boards
One of the biggest challenges of NSF STEP grant efforts is to find ways to extend the project's successful work beyond the NSF funding through institutional support and to also leverage other reliable sources of funding (private funding sources, other funding sources) to sustain some of the STEP grant components.
This webinar has two objectives.
Objective 1 informs the audience of the successful institutionalization efforts of a STEP Type 1A grant, called the EXCEL program at UCF (University of Central Florida), with a special emphasis on sustaining some of the grant's components through a partnership with the Workforce Board in the Central Florida region.
Objective 2 informs the audience about an NSF funded workshop called STEPWork. STEPWork will allow collaboration and explore areas of partnership between STEP grantees and their regional Workforce Board representatives. Held at UCF, the conference provides a forum for actionable discussions to support STEP grant institutionalization and sustainability efforts. Conference attendees may gain increased rates and methods for institutionalization and sustainability of their STEP grant efforts by mirroring the unique partnership between UCF and the Central Florida Workforce Board.
