Active Learning at Middle Tennessee State University
This video is a brief description of how I use active learning with undergraduate social work students in a data analysis course. Students learn how to code, enter, analyze, and present data within the context of a real-life setting. Here, I discuss student work with a local agency who serves people who are without housing or are at-risk of losing their housing. Although a social work course, this approach may be used in a variety of disciplines including business, nursing, psychology, and any other profession that wishes to connect course content to real world experiences.
